Your team works best when they’re kept up-to-date on customer trends. Now you can pull dashboards and charts directly from Chattermill and send them to your team as Scheduled Reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
What are Scheduled Reports?
Scheduled Reports allow you to share a single report, or a whole dashboard, with your colleagues via email or Slack at your chosen frequency. Does your CEO want a high level update? Send them a dashboard with key indicators at the start of every month, keeping them in the loop with customer trends.
What types of reports can I schedule to be sent out?
You can send out any dashboard you have access to, and any charts from within the Analytics page.
How often can I set up scheduled reports to be sent out?
You can schedule reports to be sent daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also select which time of day, or day of the week that you’d like to send updates out.
How do I set them up?
There are a few different ways to schedule a report. You can either do it directly from your chosen report or from the Workflows page.
From Analytics/Dashboards:
If you're working on a chart or dashboard you'd like to share, click the ... menu in the top right-hand corner, and select the Schedule option. From there, choose your desired frequency and recipients, and you're good to go!
From Workflows:
Visit Workflows
Click 'Create Workflow'
Select 'Report scheduled' trigger
Choose whether to send a single report or a whole dashboard, the frequency, and the time you'd like to send the report (displayed in your own timezone)
Select the correct report
Choose to send via email or Slack, add in your recipients and click 'Create Workflow'
Who can schedule reports?
Only users within your organisation can send out reports or dashboards.
Who can I send reports to?
If your company allows external sharing, you can send reports or dashboards to any valid email address. If not, you’ll only be able to send to your colleagues with Chattermill accounts. If you’re not sure if your company allows external sharing or not, reach out to [email protected].
With Slack, you can only send to users in your company’s workspace.
What will the email/Slack message contain?
The message will contain a PDF screenshot of the chosen report or dashboard, and a link. If the recipient has a Chattermill login and the report has been shared within the platform, they can access the report in Chattermill. If not, they will only be able to see an external sharing link (they can see the data points, but they are unable to click into them).
